How to Care for Your VOITED productsUpdated a month ago

Your VOITED blanket (or poncho, or jacket, or pet blanket!) is built to handle adventures—mud, sand, rain, and even a little dog hair. The good news? Caring for it is simple. With the right wash and dry routine, your VOITED gear will stay soft, warm, and water-resistant for years.

🧼 General Care Guidelines

  • Machine washable: All VOITED blankets and companions can be machine washed.

  • Temperature: Wash at 30 °C / 86 °F (cold or cool wash is best).

  • Detergent: Use mild or eco-friendly detergent. Skip fabric softeners and bleach—they can damage water-repellent coatings.

  • Drying: Air dry whenever possible. Avoid tumble drying to preserve insulation and coatings.

  • Storage: Store your blanket dry, loosely folded, and uncompressed (don’t leave it squished in pillow mode long-term).

🛏️ 4-in-1 PillowBlankets™ (CloudTouch®, Fleece, Ripstop, Queen, Mini Traveler)

  • Wash at 30 °C.

  • Use gentle cycle, minimal detergent.

  • Do not tumble dry—hang to dry naturally.

  • Shake out and fluff once dry to restore loft.

  • If you use a Liner (CloudTouch®, Cotton, Waterproof): Wash separately on the same gentle settings.

🎒 Camping Companions

  • NeckPack Travel Pillow Blanket: Remove inner pillow, wash blanket at 30 °C. Pillow core can be spot-cleaned.

  • Slumber Jacket: Wash at 30 °C with zippers closed. Air dry on a hanger.

  • Slumber Zip Sack: Treat like a sleeping bag—wash at 30 °C, mild detergent, air dry flat.

  • Picnic & Beach Blanket: Shake off sand first, machine wash at 30 °C, hang dry.

  • Trooper Poncho-Blanket: Wash at 30 °C, gentle cycle, hang dry.

🐾 Pet Blanket

  • Wash at 30 °C—yes, even after muddy paws!

  • Use mild detergent.

  • Air dry.

  • For quick clean-ups: wipe the water-repellent side with a damp cloth.

🌱 Care Tips to Make It Last

  • Avoid high heat: Heat breaks down recycled fibres and water-repellent coatings.

  • Pack smart: Only compress into pillow/pack mode for travel or storage; let it breathe when at home.

  • Quick refresh: Hang outside for a breeze-through to freshen between washes.

  • Reproofing: If water beads stop forming on the surface, refresh the DWR with a spray-on fluorine-free treatment (e.g., Nikwax).

❓ Care FAQs

Q: Can I use a dryer if I’m in a hurry?
A: We don’t recommend it—air drying is best. If you must, tumble dry on the lowest heat with a couple of clean tennis balls to help re-loft.

Q: Will machine washing remove the water-repellent coating?
A: Over time, yes. That’s normal with any outdoor gear. You can restore it with an eco-friendly reproofing spray.

Q: How often should I wash my VOITED blanket?
A: Only when needed. Spot clean small marks. Full wash after heavy use (e.g., post-camping trip).

Q: Do VOITED blankets trap smells?
A: The recycled Ripstop and fleece are quick-dry and breathable, so they resist odours better than cotton. A simple air-out in the sun often works wonders.

✨ With these easy steps, your VOITED gear will keep adventuring with you for years—soft, warm, and planet-friendly.
